Touch of the Holidays !!!

We all stress this time of year...gifts, decorating, entertaining, travels...but I recommend that the house decorating become the "FUN" part of the season.  Little touches of Christmas throughout your home will help create the spirit of the season for your family and your guests. 

I can't stress enough that you DO NOT have to spend a lot of money to bring your home alive for the holidays. The key to everything is to open your eyes to the outdoors!   All the treasures of nature will enhance your decorating projects and add that little "touch" to any room.

I encourage you to mix the outdoors with those pieces you have already placed.  For example, the porcelain trees pictured here were a bargain find for me at Pier One.  The poinsettia's were originally napkin rings, and then the clippings from a cedar tree and berry's from the holly bush finish off this setting beautifully.

Add touches all around your home.  Find glass ornaments that compliment your bedding...hang them on the ceiling fan above your bed or on that great mirror you have.  Small touch but big statement.

Turn your powder room into a little Christmas Nook with simple additions.  Hang simple garland on the towels...maybe add a little hand towel with some sparkle....
